Basics

Each Play card belongs to a Category and has Traits, Rarity, Rating, Season, Serial #.

The traits and category of a play card vary by sport.

  • NBA

    • A Play card has traits such as "Fadeaway", "Game-winning", "Snipe", etc. and belongs to a category: Layup, Dunk, Midrange, Three, or Free Throws

  • NFL

    • A Play card has traits such as "Beastmode", "Two minute drill", "First strike", "Dot", etc. and belongs to a category: Rush, Catch, Pass, Touchdown, Field Goal, Defense/ST

Each trait has a rarity which is associated with how often the trait occurs in the season.

  • The rarities are common, uncommon, rare, epic, and legendary.

The rating of a Play card depends on game situations.

  • Learn more about our rating system here.

A higher rarity doesn't always mean a higher rating. For instance, a "Snipe" trait has epic rarity. But, a Snipe during a 20-point deficit in the 2nd Quarter will be lower rated, whereas one in a tight 4th Quarter will be higher rated.

Now let's take a look at Jimmy Butler's 15' lead taking off-steal two.

  • "LEAD-TAKING" and "OFF-STEAL" are the traits

  • "MIDRANGE" is the category

  • "EPIC" is the rarity

  • "4" is the rating

  • The player, season, serial #, and member who collected the play are also on the card
